a few...
the new Ss look really good in person, saw a black one a few weeks back at the local dealer. They are supposed to have the launch edition in by Wednesday of next week so I will try to snap some photos.

That Brabus is hot. I love the wheels on it, too bad it doesn't show you the brakes.

Lou - I have to agree with your wife! As a long time "S" owner, after driving the new S550 for a few days last week, I like the technology, but I'm less than pleased with the "excitement". I will look at the new CL, but right now I'm leaning toward the new SL550 or possibly a '55.

2004 S55
For me, the intentional design of the defined wheel arches is unattractive. I don't like how it creates a segmented look and would prefer a more blended transition. Of course, there have beeen lots of vehicle designs that I didn't like initially and then grew on me. However, the AMG styling package makes a big improvement on both the W220 and W221. Along those lines, I'm not a guy who goes aftermarket for rims, but it is amazing how just that one change alone can have such an impact on how a vehicle looks.

When my lease is up on my 04 S55 next year, I'll probably go with some variation of the W221. This time around, though, I may break out of the silver mold and go with another color. I know how hard black is to keep clean but a black car looks so good. Perhaps a dark grey...

the brabus w221 looks amazing! it also looks like they took that additional antenna off of the trunk too.

I really don't have any ideas as to what the SL550 will be like but I do have a '05 SL55 and really could not be happier. We are now exclusively a '55 family.

i used to have a CL and then i switched to a 05 sl55. there is really nothing else i can ask for.. the sl is perfect... this is perhaps a car which i ll be happy to drive for 10 more yrs. CL is a good car, but get bored really quickly. i ll rather drive a S over the new CL, at least the S has 4 comfortable seats, and the new CL does not look really good in the spy pictures.
