Lease rates
My S 550 launch edition will be arriving in a few days with an MSRP of $101,675. I don't expect much of a discount, if any.
What is worse, is what I have been quoted by the dealer for a money factor- 9% (.00375), which means that a 48 month lease is $1,550/month plus tax.
This is not attractive. Anyone know whether the money factor can be negotiated?

The lease rates are not available yet from Leasecompare.com for this model. My dealer insists that MB credit will not come off its 9% number and he is shopping finance companies at this point.
This really starts to tip the balance in my comparison of the BMW 7 Series versus the S Class. I have already stated my preference for the Mercedes, but I must confess that I already lease a 2006 750. My BMW is loaded with pretty much every option including security glass and active cruise, but the out the door price was under $80K. In addition, BMW lease rates are much better, which means in real money, the Mercedes costs 38% more than the BMW 7 Series.
Is the S Class 38% better than than the BMW 7 Series? I am reassessing my conclusion.
