Got the Keyless Go and Trunk Closer!
Just had a call from my dealer and he was able to add Keyless Go and Trunk Closer to my order in April. I am really pleased since it was on my original specs and I had to give up due to the shortage. Glauser has been a great dealer to do business with.

Great to hear, Jack! When I ordered mine, my dealer was able to order it no problem. The fact that you couldn't made me doubt whether he had 1) actually ordered my car (tho I have a NetStar printout), or 2) could deliver the car in May like he said.
On a separate note, I saw my first S550 the other day.... black, like I ordered. I was prepared to follow it for a bit, but a truck got between us, and the MB went for the offramp. DAMN!

I am really pleased to get those two items added, BUT...it doesn't speak well for MB inventory control. These are probably the most common two options a luxury car should have (they should be standard they are so common) and here I am praising the dealer for being able to get MB to get them installed on a $98K car!
I hope by fall you can go into a MB dealer, tell them what your car should have on it and walk out the door knowing it will be delivered in the standard 6 week time frame with what you ordered. I know the dealer will be happy.

No...the leather you have on the LE is only available on it and the S600. There is the Standard, Premium and then the Exclusive which you have. So he is probably giving you the straight skinny...
