Sorry didn't know about it either until yesterday. Had my car at the shop in the morning and they had a sign in the lounge. Would like to see it in black as well. May have a different opinion. Haven't seen the AMG pkg yet either. They had a "stock" 550 in black. Found MB version of "iDrive" much easier to use and loved the way you could tilt the nav screen right or left and zoom in and out with ease. One thing I didn't get was the removable start button.

I happened to see that sign in the lounge on Friday morning while having the car washed and totally forgot about it. They were unloading that Black S550 from the carrier and I had a look at it. I really don't care for the Black on Black interior and without the Wood Steering Wheel it is kind of bland. Stock and delivery at FJ is a long time coming and that is why I ended up at Glauser in Denver for mine. Also, they will not budge on the S550 either.

The CLS looks fantastic..but the scoops on the front fenders of the S550 are just too much. Thanks for posting the images...nice shots.

Since there is no Shift Lever on the Console to put the KG button, they have a removable button that goes into the ignition slot. If you don't want to use KG, then you remove the button and use the key.

Is that what you were referring to?

Thanks Yes. The salesgirl and I both agreed that it was apiece just waiting to pop out and fall btween the seat rail and console and just wating to chew your fingers up trying to retrieve it.

Saw a Lorinser S550 mod. a couple days ago at the House of Imports MB in SoCal. To me, it is over the top: the air dams and skirt - ugly! Parts didn't look like they "fit."
