07 pricing release
early this week mercedes released a pricing info on 07 MY and it says that there will be an MY07 S 55 AMG http://www.emercedesbenz.com/Images/...007Pricing.jpg
i know, we're all confused now. and it gets even better...
the well renowned german car magazine auto motor & sport even said that the S 63 AMG won't be available before 2008 (MY09).
NOW THE WORST:
THE 6.3/6.0 LITER ENGINE WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE UNTIL 2009 (MY2010) BECAUSE THE AMG-DEVELOPED V8 WAS TOO EXPENSIVE!!!
auto motor & sport has got that info from an interview w/ the amg boss. he said that they're going to switch back to mercedes-developed powerplants and push them up with turbos.

Well there isn't going to be a S55 no matter what developments are coming out of Germany. Such a model would have been introduced at some autoshow or something by now. That was likely a mistake on that pricing sheet. Can't see a S55 happening.

me too. but i dont like the strategy with the new V8. It comes out for the S in 08 and stays there for two years and blah blah. they should bring it out next year, not 08.
