Does the Rear View Mirror adjust with memory?

Our rear view mirror doesn't move when you change seat memory positions. Is that right?

Thanks.

That's strange. I believe it moved automatically on the W220. I don't know why they would take away that feature.
Thanks.

I will be sure to check when I get back home. The two side rear view mirrors move with the memory functions, but are you talking about the one that is on the windshield?

Let me get back home and see if it works later on tonight. Hopefully I will remember to check the damn thing.

The beginning models of the w220 had them that moved. The '06 I know don't have it moving. I dunno when they stopped it though. Probably just to save costs.

Same here, the rear view mirror mounted on the windshield does not move with the memory functions. However the two outboard mounted mirros do move. Just a sign of decontenting that needs to come to an end

That needs to change! First MB charges $1,300 more the the softer leather, now we find out the review mirror no longer moves with the seat memory function. What else has been deleted?

Give me some time to foll around with the settings and what have you. I am sure there is something in COMAND that will let me enable it or in the IC.

Just looked at the PDF version of the W221 owner's manual. Under "Memory function" section (p. 336), there is no mention of the interior rear view mirror as part of the settings that is saved with memory for driver's side.

Mercedes all the way!
well, my W220 ('05 model) doesn't have moving interior rear view mirrors, so that feature has been gone at least since the facelifted W220.

My W140 had it and I think my 2000 S430 did also. My 2004 S500 does not have it.

I remember test driving the S-Class, and it did not have power adjusting rearview mirrors.

I think my 2000 S430
yup, initial batch of W220s had it, as gbahri pointed out. i can't actually imagine why they removed it: it doesn't seem to have been a source of any problems - then again it must be the most difficult thing to move - had to rotate in 3D whereas everything else only has a 2D range of motion.

Thanks... yes our 2001 S600 had it. I didn't know they removed the feature on the facelifted model. We never had problems with it on the old one.

A manual rear view mirror I can live with... it's the manual seats I can't! I made the error of getting my current ride, an '03 Boxster S, with manual seats. Everytime the car gets washed, or the wifey goes for a spin, I pay the price tweaking all the adjustments to get it right. Then doubting the settings for another week!

I must be losing my mind ! I was sitting in my S500 this afternoon and I realized that it does have a programable interior mirror. I moved the mirror by hand, then pressed one of the memory buttons, only to see the mirror move back into it's original position. Sorry for the initial erroneous information. I'm going on a needed vacation tomorrow !

My parents 2004 S55 has the automatic inside mirror. It would be a pity if MB did away with this feature on the W221. Its their flagship isn't it?
