designo question
is the only diff in designo that it comes with exclusive paint, wood and leather . I really like the mystic white setup. looks nice. are all designos orders and long long wait times,
how much more do they cost
whats with regular s 550 not coming with wood on wheel, my dad in law just got a gs300, and that came with it, starndard

A Mercedes really isn't defined by its wood trim especially at this level, but with a Lexus the wood is a big part of what people look for at Lexus.

Nah that isn't how the Germans think, wood and leather are what define Japanese cars not German cars. People who know about Mercedes and what they're all about don't care about wooden steering wheels. Wooden steering wheels can be downright dangerous anyway, they're just glitery toppings not something useful. Germans are function over form which is why wooden wheels are an afterthought, BMW doesn't even offer them on most models neither does Audi. Wooden steering wheels are so tired and very last decade stuff. The Japanese are followers not leaders in that regard.

the REAL reason as to why there is no standard wooden steering wheel is because we have an option called "heated steering wheel". If you select this option then the wooded part of the steering wheel is automatically deleted.
So you see it would be a bit odd if they all came standard, and then taken away via an option

how does these multic contour seats work,
are they worth it
my dad doesnt like his w140 seats.
can u get multicountour with premium leather

The premium leather can be had with the multicontour seats. The premium leather comes leather on the doors, higher quality leather on the seats/seat backs, and on the dash. It's well worth the insignifacnt amount of money that they are charging for it.

your telling me they dont put leather on doors standard no more on s class. all my otheres have it. i need to get to a dealership this weekend and have a look at this

Have fun with 20th century technology while the rest of us are pampered in 21st century technology and luxury. The W220 was the worst S class ever. Clearly I would never buy one for myself, but I did buy one for my father.

dude u have a e and cls 55, sweet, we were thinking of geting one or the other but pops likes big cars. though he has no need for it.

The E is now the wifes, and the CLS with K4 is now mine. The CLS is by far the fastest car in my garage and the best of them all.
I would still get the S550 since its just practical and makes sense, it's built for comfort and speed.

I buy strictly from Laguna Niguel, bought the E55 from FJ and would never again purchase from. K4 is a set of Kleeman mod's that generate close to 640hp and mid 700 lb/ft of torque, though I can't recall the exact number for torque.
My next goal is to put some evo rotors I have sitting in the garage and some HRE Competition wheels.

K4 is the highest level of tuning on a 55amg engine thus far?? brabus and evosport and otheres have comparable mods right.
im curious, approx how much does it cost to get up to a K4 .
i wish they had somethng like that for my W126
