Why? Most of the time parents have more expensive cars than their children. And second you came on here saying that you had an S600 then your getting an S600 now your going to an S65 then to an S550. The difference between an S550 and an S600 is the price of your dads BMW and one of your SUV's together.

The last thing I wanted when I was 16-18 years old was a huge 4 door sedan that everyone would think is my fathers car!

I have an M3 also buddy. As for you, you dont even own a mercedes. Second off I am not mad I like others are just trying to figure out why we have an influx of tards that claim they have cars but they really dont.

Last of all when I get a house in a year and can park my car in a garage I will sell my ML and either mod the M3 with my ML money and put a supercharger in it or I will sell the M and ML and buy an AMG. Right now my ML is a college beater car that gets parked outside all the time.

I don't think you know just how poor most of the world is. What is it 10% of Americans are below the bread line. Here in NZ only the rich can afford to buy an 02 ML or almost any Mercedes for that matter. We are still importing W140 and selling them for upwards of $30,000 in some cases.

I thought at first good on you for not being a poser and really having the cars you said you did own, but now I think you are some ignorant prat who needs a serious education form the college of hard knocks, "crappy 02 Ml" who the f#$k are you to **** all over other people, there is pride in having a nice car and then there is being a self indulgent ******* who looks down on everyone from what he considers to be his lofty perch when in fact all you reveal about yourself is your own lack of ability to comprehend how lucky you are in the first place. There are many people in not only the world but the US who don't have any car even the 'crappy' ML. I am happy to have a 1993 S class and it happens to be the 'best' car on the street that I live in for universty.

Eh not so fast he doesn't get away that easy. First off the cars are his parents second off he has yet to produce his S600 which he know says he never had and will get soon, second he has yet to produce his parents range rover. As I said before as a US person I am not impressed by anyone whos parents have a navigator, LX and a over 8 year old BMW.

Second off you are right the average income in the USA is $30,000 a year considering back in 2002 my ML cost like $43,000 which it would take a lifetime of an average income earner to save up and buy one.

Last of all I think we have a few more tard turds besides this one that have joined I think Rjstar or whatever is back under a new name....

I am 19 and I bought my first Mercedes about a month ago. I bought a 2003 S500... bought it all with my own means, the only involvment my parents got was the ride to the dealership in New Jersey...

I've wanted a W220 since I was 16, and I've been dreaming about it for 3 years. I finally have it and you don't know how great it feels.

my parents bought me a clk 230 kompressor and im 19 sure its a nice car for my age, but you can not judge anyone on the car. Simple. ohh and in melbourne you have to drive with big red "P" plates in the top corner of your windscreen so that everyone knows ure a "probationary" driver. Suffice to say you get alot of dirty looks and i also had to clean egg of my car from last week. not parking in the city at night again...

Some of the rules of this forum, I believe, have to be:

1) make an effort to only list cars in your sig or under your nickname that are actually yours (definition of "yours" for the purpose of this will be: you drive the car at least 90% of the time)

2) if you are going to list cars that are not "yours" but are in the family anywhere in your post, specify that they are not "yours" and possibly list whose cars they actually are. A good reason for this may be that your own car is not an M-B

3) if you're going to brag about your parents' cars, at least get the model name right for pete's sake. So put down that Playboy that you stole from your older brother, and school yourself with a copy of duPont Registry or a similar publication.

I moved up from the '93 Accord my parents bought me when I was 16 to a C320 when I was only 20. But, I bought it with my own means. And I wrote a check for the whole thing when I drove off with it. Proudest damned moment in my life, I tell you! I actually have enough cash around to go out and buy myself an even better car (mmmm C4S....) but, it's a choice between that and going to a school that costs more per year than my C320 did. I don't qualify for any financial aid, and my parents just retired, so I'm stuck with my "cheap" C320 for now. But, one thing is for certain, I sure as hell appreciate my car. I appreciate it just as much as I appreciate my dad's 380SL. It's not about how much the car costs, there's so much more about a car to respect and to love than the receipt showing how much money you paid.


And if anyone here wants to doubt whether I have my little C320, just look down a few milimeters...

LOL my point is you cant drive and I can tell that by the way you type. In no way did I call you poor with the exception of how you write and your spelling and grammar. Go read the first page... You claim to have gotten an S600... I wont even point out other posts you have made here. Well having your dads car of 79k just reinforces my point that your dad wont buy you a $140,000+ car, why don't you get a job so when you can drive maybe you can afford something. And like others have posted an S600 would cost more than your house.

I got a new G55 AMG when I turned 16. Then a couple of weeks ago, he had the nerve to buy me a 2006, 2007 (?) I don't know ML500 when I got tired of driving that same G55 that I’ve had for a couple of years now!!! That's like being degraded from AMEX Centurion status to a Green Card. Gross. So, right now I have both a G55 and a ML500. Heaven forbid my old classmates from PCS were to see me driving the same G-Wagon from 2003!!

But I can't wait to trade that antique thingy in for a new 2007 SL55 or a Gallardo which my dad promised me. If he doesn't come through with the promise, I'm never talking to him again! I wont put up with his abuse any longer. My mom always comes through.

I'm also young, only a sophomore in college. Here's the way I see it: these kids may be getting spoiled and getting new S550s, but I would rather pay for my own car any day and have the satisfaction of knowing I earned it rather than having it handed to me. Would I say no if someone offered me one? Of course not, I'm not stupid. But I would never expect to be given something like that. Whatever my next car is, be it W202 C-class or Infiniti I30, I will know that I've paid for it myself and will park it next to all of the rich kids' cars at my school and not feel jealous at all.
