Telephone Issues
I have a few telephone related questions I was hoping somebody could help answer.
First, unlike my previous S-Class, I do not seem to be able to access the telephone features through the multi-function steering wheel other than accepting or rejecting a call--no phonebook access, etc... Is the same for everybody, or is it something the dealer may be able to activate? Seems strange that you can access everything other than the phone through the steering wheel. (Not surprising, I pressed the i-button asking for help, and of course they had no idea...)
Second, have any of you programmed your car for voice dialing, and if so, do the numbers appear as a list at the beginning of your phone book? I find this strange, and am wondering if anybody else is experiencing the same thing.
Third, have any of you noticed that some of your contacts do not appear in your phonebook when accessed through COMAND despite the fact that they are most definitely stored on your phone? I just noticed this as I received a call and only the phone number appeared, and then I went into the phonebook and saw the name not even listed, however, when I took the phone out of the car to double check, the name was right where it should be...strange! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
P.S.--On an unrelated note, does anybody have any idea as to what that black dot is near the keyless-go engine start button? I looked all over the manual and can't find anything and it's starting to drive me crazy. Clearly it must have a function, no?!

I have the cradle installed for my phone. I actually went back to the dealership yesterday and was told that my car was not properly set up at the VPC, and I must bring my car in for service on Friday to have the whole system re-programed in order to access the phone through the multi function steering wheel--hopefully that will be the biggest of my problems. As far as the other concerns I had regarding the phonebook list, etc... I think it's just a quirk with the COMAND addressbook combining with the phonebook stored on my phone...I think I've figured it out though...
