if i remember correctly last episode i noticed the badging on the side.. if i remember correctly it said V8 kompressor ... and i did not notice the little vents on the front bumper like the 65.. are they even making a standard AMG version?? or just AMG packages..?? the pano roof is dope too
anyone who has ONdemand and who have not seen the show need to watch all the episodes available (about 6 i think).. i just got into the show. i need to go pick up the DVD sets.. the show is AWESOME!!!

4 episodes this season so far. I dont think an S55 w221 exists right now, so it must be an S65....on ebay there are 2 cars, about $190K-200K. And they didnt even mention it on the show like others have already said. 8 episodes season 1, 14 episodes season 2 all on torrentspy.com if you just want to sample them, then buy the dvd's. Sweet frickin car but with 06 S65's depreciating about 40-50% in one year, id have to have money to burn. Granted, the new body style wont depreciate so quick, and the s63 wont be far off in performance, but still.

They usually use cars from people who are involved in the show.. For example, that Range Rover that Jeremy Piven's wife (Ari Goldman) drives is actually Jeremy's actual car.. I see him driving it all the time whenever I go to the Roosevelt hotel in Hollywood... S65 could very well be one of the producer's vehicles, or someone else involved in the show.. That SL55 in black that is in one of the episodes is probably the actor's car (the one that was actually driving it)

I miss the days with the "Maz", but now that all the drivers (all but Vince) have new DB9 Convertibles it makes it more fun to see them all driving.
Should have mixed it up a little with a Aston, Bentley and a Lambo-- my opinion.

are we talking about the white one that is kind of parked in the far back near where they first pull in? I saw it last night. It looks like an AMG for sure. The last episode I watched Ari was driving a W220 instead of a 7.

Ari's car... So I think right now he has a 750li but he changes car every season. First season he had a 745li, and during the second season he drives a S55. It is also mentioned that Ari does the unthinkable and changes the decals on his wife's Benz from 500 to 600! Mrs. Ari now drives a Range Rover. Entourage is my life (if you couldn't tell).

If you are talking about the episodes where their friend Dom came from prison.It was definitely not a w220 it was a w221 ...Unless you are talking about Ari's car. I have it on tivo I will take a picture if you want.

nono i just said...ari was driving it....it was aris im sure of it. i saw the silver W221 on an episode parked in the background...i just thought it was silver...but no ari was for sure driving a W220...i assumed it was his...i just remember thinking ohhh no 7 for him today...and trust me it was a W220

I simply don't buy the story about them not using product placement. I seriously doubt the producer was priveleged enough to own an S65 back when gas was $2.50 in L.A. as per the scene a couple episodes ago when Dominic quickly pulled into the gas station. There is no explanation other than an official M-B pre-production prototype, in which M-B has to be directly involved.

the car, the show, all amazing
i think it is an S550 with a 65 package only to make it look unique... to grab our attention... since a 65 package would do a better job at that than the regular body work.... if it were really a 65, i think we would have seen it or it would have been a great chance for a further plug (an amg plug and not only the obvious benz plug). i saw the last few episodes and true, 'vince' was standing near the badge area and as if they deliberatly avoided showing it or maybe there was none at all.
i hear the quattroporte drives bad at speeds... dunno... but glad they brought in the benz...cool car, great show. jeremy piven cracks me up.

I doubt they would go to the trouble to take a S550 and then put a 65 front bumper...I also I thought I saw the AMG logos on the seats...I still think it is a real 65, but that would mean they got it early from MB.???

It is probably a launched early edition for the show - exactly like the Bond films got early editions of Aston Martins and BMWs. The Z8 BMW in Tomorrow never dies was before ppl could actually buy that car.
I believe the same went for the Aston Martin Vanquish in The world is not enough movie.
