Here are a few pictures showing the work required for a w221 video interface. Customer purchased a nav tv unit. I would NOT recommed this unit at all. Especially since this car had a camera from factory. Installing several relays to switch can signals from front to back was required as well as as timer relay. NAVTV also stated there may be problems with the drivers seat humming. And this problem showed up a few days later. I'll post pictures of the actual video on the screen in a few days.


Factory camera module on wall with 3 screws, voice module below it on same bracket. Audio gateway on wheel well. Sat tuner on bottom with purple connector.

I would never want to mess with the computer systems on these cars nowadays. I would be afraid something would go wrong and they would void warranty!

I just did one the other day...I have a better module, plug & play, no relays, No problems...Vehicle has factory camera...I'll post pics later....

How You Doing? I'm Trying To Find Another Brand Of Module Other Than Navtv For Video And Audio Inputs. Would You Have Any Ideas? I'm Working On A 07 S550 With Back Up Camera. I Called Navtv And They Said The Module For S550 With Back Up Camera Is Not Available Yet. I Would Really Appreciate It If You Could Help Me Out.

GNET makes a plug & Play nav conversion that will work on cars that have oem back-up camera. Also Exonic mobile video sells the identical module, they just re-badge it as their own.
