Is it possible to change the colors of the ambient lighting package? Not that there is anything wrong with the warm glow... just curious. Fiberoptics with LED's?

Why it's the classic MB orange glow that was in the fibre optics in the W140 power seat controls.

You can only change the brightness but not the color.
It would be cool to have it automatically change like the hot-tubs with those psychedelic colors. Or better yet, react to the music.

Wow, the interior is simply amazing. When the W221 first launched I didn't like the interior so much, but I think I just loved the old one so much I couldn't imagine anything better.... .....well, thanks for opening up my imagination!

You may find that in a LS460L but I doubt MB will ever get to that point...LOL

Nice picture! I wish we had roads as good as over there. Darn road salt destroys everything.

I bet the hood ornament helps with parking too.

Definitely no road salt in these parts...:-)

I use it a little I guess but in parking garages I find I use the Parktronic almost all the time so I don't "bump" the concrete columns or whatever they put there to do damage should you get careless.

That's the highway where racers frequently go all out right? I always see videos of people racing their exotics on that highway.

I am not familiar with the "exotic running highway." I doubt the beltway is used for that purpose...it is a very busy road around the city and very new. In some places you have to use the exit/on ramps with stoplights until the overpasses can be completed.

I love driving my S550 at night. It's so cool with the ambient glow and especially with Night View Assist activated (in really dark areas).
