From MBUSA build your own - Power Side Window Sunblinds $700. So, I would say that the sales person was most likely in error.

I believe the rear blind is standard, but the rear side blinds are an option.

I think sticker on a car with everything but the rear seat package should be closer to 109-110, shouldn't it? What else doesn't it have?

Regardless, figure a new car with a 105k sticker should go about 98-99k? So $10k less for a demo car with 2,000 miles. That doesn't sound too bad to me. But I've never bought a demo before. I don't know if I believe that a demo car was driven by no one other than the owner.

I guess it also depends on what options you want. It sounds like the car is missing something else besides the rear seat pkg, though. Maybe ABC? Depends on if the Rear Seat Package or the other feature is important to you.

Cool! Congratulations on a good find.

I looked all over the country, literally, for an Andorite Grey S550 myself. Different dealers, btw, "found" different cars in their search which was interesting. But no one found the essentials I wanted, so I get to wait.

S550
If that was the Factory sticker and not the Dealer sticker it sounds like it has it all but one option. My S550 was 105 with every (incl Night Vision, Distronic Plus, and Rear Camera) option with the exception of the AMG body kit. Since AMG is a very common option, it' possible you don't have one option. Either way it sounds like a great deal because I picked my S550 up on 12/28, and I only go got a couple of thousand off. And the fact that it had 2000 miles on it is minor.

Really? The sticker on my car is nearly 107 and I passed on all the following:

AMG package
Panorama Roof
iPod integration
Wood/leather steering wheel
Any of the wheel upgrades
And of course the designo packs

Exluding designo, I think a full optioned S550 nowadays in the US probably has an MSRP around $115k or so (including AMG). Crazy, huh?

For point of reference, my ordered Black Opal/Savanna Cashmere has the following options:

P2 pkg
AMG Sport pkg
Dynamic Rear Monitor
Premium Leather
Power Rear Side Window Blinds
Drive Dynamic Front Seats
ABC
Trunk Closer
iPod Integration
Heated Steering Wheel

With the $1,000 gas guzzler, the MSRP was $105,800.00, purchase price at $100,000.00.

Wow, you and I have vastly similar option boxes checked off!

Thanks for the compliment on the color, it's one I've loved for a long time though I did swear once I'd never get another car in black or near-black color with the climate in the northeast and those 'salty' months. I saw the color on a W210 E-class long ago at the autoshow in Toronto when I lived there, and it was a very lively color under the lights so my wife suggested that I get it this time.

What color combination did you order? I'm looking forward to seeing the Savanna Cashmere in the premium leather in my car when it arrives. The dealer promised me info for a committed production slot this week...keeping my fingers crossed.

Yeah, I don't have any hard info on production week yet either. I ended up going with Andorite and Grey interior.

You'll love the black opal. My brother-in-law has an e-class in that color, and I always admire it.
