If you look at the louvers on top of the hood(where the windshield washer nozzles are), they are plastic. I took the black plastic panel(rain tray) down from the bottom of the hood. I think the tray is held in with a couple T20 torx screws and it has tabs all around it that can be pulled to release it. Once it was down, I took some double stick tape to temporarily mount the transponder to test it. Once I found a good location for it, I mounted it with 3M tape to hold firmly. I wish I took some pictures of it to show you guys.
