Here in Vancouver S550s are very common in fact. Plus people tend to pay more attention on a red coupe w/ 4 huge unique rims than a black sedan.. anybody agrees with me?

03' E39 M5, 10' CLS63 AMG
Just traded in an M6 for an S550 few days ago, and i gotta say.. the S550 is gorgeous. Its Obsidian Black/ Designo Porcelain. This is the first of this interior color in Canada

In fact I drive with P400 on M6 most of the time- that is, the 400hp mode, so there's really not much of power difference.
To W210:
The designo interior it costs 5400 CND.. thats quite expensive but the color is really amazing. It looks even better in person than in photo.

Let's put it this way, I'll be happy to take your S550 Designo but would never be caught dead in that burgundy thingy. Seriously I think it looks really quite ugly. I suppose we all have different tastes, and of course I'll be the only one rather driving a black/silver/white Mustang than that red Bangle shark.

There was a s550 broke down in front of my friends house today.He said that it just shut off on him without warning.Ray catena benz sent out a service van and he managed to get it running pretty quick.I wish I went back out to find out what happened.

I currently drive a MT M3. If you want a fun in driving, there aren't a lot of cars that are as fun as an MT M3. and I promise you S550 is close in being fun and exciting to M3. I can see why this owner traded in his M6. M6 is a great car but ain't that great driving everyday.

That's probably the funniest post I've ever read on this forum. LOL!! Anyway, yeah the M6 is definitely more attention as most coupe's and, well red cars are! But I guess if it was too much for you as a daily driving car, then you had to do what was practical. I wouldn't say it's a bad trade, but being I'm young and feel an S-Class is too big (in terms of throwing it around the corners), I would have stayed with the M6. Maybe you should have tried the 6-speed M6, that's much better than SMG.
But congrats and great color combo on the Benz -- I love the interior, it looks better than some homes. I guess that makes you a 3-Star MB-World Member.
I think Magwheel is the only 10-Star member...

Maybe you should have tried the 6-speed M6, that's much better than SMG.
The M5 / M6 were designed ground up with the SMG. The manual tranny was an afterthought and it shows. :o

I've drive the M3 SMG, it's pretty good, but not as good as a stick.
