DaCeptak0n...which dealer is this from, MB Princeton or Ray Catena ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
if its Princeton, I strongly suggest visiting Catena with that printed out quote and they'll beat it
...also here's my "shpeal" about Catena > Princeton ![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
When I went to Catena's...I asked my salesman if I could test drive an SL after sitting inside one in the showroom (and wasn't even seriously considering it let alone buying it)...but nonetheless he literally drove the white SL out of the showroom simply because I'd asked to test drive A SL (not even that particular one) but since I had glanced at it and liked the white...he just did it (even though they had a bunch of test drive/demo SL's to take for a spin) and go figure I ended up getting that same car I test drove...and after deciding on the SL...I wanted to drive a E55 for kicks and he again pulled out a new E55 and I took it for a test drive
Maybe this is because he just knows that I don't come to the dealer unless I'm in the market...whatever the reason...Ray Catena MB has the best of the best working for him and it really does show

Now if you want to talk about service...I haven't found a dealer to this day that provides better service than my Mercedes dealer...Ray Catena Mercedes-Benz in Edison, NJ
...the service center at Ray Catena's is amazing, their facility is a state of the art warehouse size building with 64 bays and over 200 2006-2007 ML350's, R350's and C-class 4-matic loaner cars free of charge and for any service(as long as you bought from them) otherwise its for long services only I believe...they provide free catered food, free drinks and shoe shines not to mention internet access via 10 flat panel computers (that have cable tv as well), a pool table and a virtual golf room.
I was there one time and a woman with a black CLS55 with Florida plates pulled into the service center reporting of some problems(w/o an appointment) and they looked at the car, no questions asked, and had one of the reps show her to the waiting area where they showed her to food and drinks as if she was their own customer.
Even the sales people at Ray Catena MB are much more professional and curtious then any I've dealt with... My salesmen at Ray Catena who I've known now for over 8 years along with every other employee of the organization are incredibly curtious and place no pressure to buy EVER, they know the customer needs their space and time to make such decisions and therefore help in every way possible and let the customer make the final decision on when they're ready to buy.
Back when I was in the market for a car and ended up getting the SL, I made a trip to MB Princeton in order to get a quote for Catena to beat and as soon as I sat down with the salesmen at Princeton and was given a quote, I told them I was going next to Ray Catena's to see what their price was and immediately he began trashing and saying vulgar remarks about them. And when I was looking for an E55 a few years prior to that a salesmen wouldnt allow me to test drive an E55 because he felt I wasn't a serious buyer. Princeton is simply the worst MB dealer in the area, I will NEVER buy anything from them, the only thing they are good for is a quote so to have Ray Catena go even lower
.

oh wow! I had no idea of the GL550 arrival. Anyone have any factual information on this model? Well, you see, since the MDX may be totaled, we'll need an SUV earlier than a big sedan (S550). I dont think we could wait til the summer for its arrival but I'd be curious to find out what it has. Maybe knowing that could convince me to convince the patriach in holding off for a bit.

Here's the update guys. I was involved in a major car accident in our SUV saturday night and I've deemed it to be completely totaled. I'm pretty much bed-ridden with severe bruising and knee complications (didnt wear my seatbelt
). We were supposed to pick up our new S550 this Tuesday but it seems that with the SUV being out, we need a SUV more than a sedan (at least for now).
So what we've done is that we've extended our lease on the E320 for 6 more months and will be waiting on the adjuster to claim it a total loss before we go ahead and start looking at the GL450. So all in all, our S550 dreams are out for right now, but who knows what will happen in 6 months. Thanks for all of your opinions and advice.

I leased my 07' S550 last July 06 when the car came out . I ordered it in April with AMG package, rear blinds, keyless go, heated wheel (I'm in NJ), Bluetooth, and got it for $1715/month with 15K/year for 39 months with tax included and $3,000 at time of delivery (which includes 1st months payment).

Well it would help to know your credit score
I went and test drove a stock s550 at the laguna niguel dealership which offers 1.3 APR and i have a score of around 702 with like 5 open credit lines and the guy said that if i put down like $30,000 my payments would be roughly $900
My friend went and inquired about a fully loaded S550 at an LA dealership and he was quoted 1200 a month at 5 percent with 5k down but i think he has an upper 700's score
It all depends on the dealership, credit score and income to outgoing ratio but you might also want to look into a 3rd party loan like ELoan which is one of the best and might be able to give you a better deal

Yea, ELOAN has the lowest rates out there (excluding dealership specials etc)

E550 4MATIC
It sounds like he just wanted to get the payments below $1000--which is dumb. If the money factor on the lease is that low, why would anyone that understands leasing give them that much cash up front.
EDIT: I'm referring to the salesman as being dumb btw.
