like everyone else said, normal surface rust.
remember that rotors are bare steel and will rust whenever there is any moisture on them. They will clean themselves off when your driving and you apply the brakes. The pads will grind off any surface rust.

or just dont stop at red lights?
This was last month - got into a "thing" with some NYPD....... its being taken care of - but I thought it was cute because of Asian's "how do u stop at red lights" question..

thats not normal
i had a similar problem with my 400se and i tell you that is not normal rust,the part in the middle is all rusty , you better go to shop and change the disc brake , if the rust keep growing your disc may break and an accident can accur

Wow! is this really true? Or could it be just an isolated incident on yours? Honestly, even my S.A did not request that I come in for a replacement. He said it was 100% Normal and advised me to go to a car wash - which i did - and it was gone. It has not yet come back.

it is true , the rust can eat the disk brake , the outside part it is normal , but if you see in the middle is all rusty , the out side is normal but inside the disk is not safety, i have seen a destroy disk , pad , caliper ,and other stuff because of that , maybe yours is not that bad but put attention to it.
