like everyone else said, normal surface rust.

remember that rotors are bare steel and will rust whenever there is any moisture on them. They will clean themselves off when your driving and you apply the brakes. The pads will grind off any surface rust.

Do you not use your brakes? How do you stop at red lights?

Throw it into reverse?

The S550 probably won't even engage that gear while you're in motion.

Wow! is this really true? Or could it be just an isolated incident on yours? Honestly, even my S.A did not request that I come in for a replacement. He said it was 100% Normal and advised me to go to a car wash - which i did - and it was gone. It has not yet come back.

real

it is true , the rust can eat the disk brake , the outside part it is normal , but if you see in the middle is all rusty , the out side is normal but inside the disk is not safety, i have seen a destroy disk , pad , caliper ,and other stuff because of that , maybe yours is not that bad but put attention to it.
