Very nice!. I really like the size of them and they dont look like they are hanging off the rear of the headrests like the factory set.

Does it defeat the active restaint system?

Thanks

Hey!

This headrest system does not defeat the active restraint system or restrict or affect any other safety system in the vehicle.

Mercedes-Benz has a system called Pre-Safe in these vehicles and when the vehicles senses that you are about to get into an accident the steering wheel, the seats, and the headrests move into a position that is the safest for the vehicle occupants. The way that the headrests move with this factory system is out and up about 3 inches.

These new headrests are the equivelent size of the factory headrest in that safe mode.

We have activated the pre-safe mode in the factory headrests and compared side-by-side installed and outside the new S-class to make sure that these new headrests are equally as safe as the factory.

The way we install is so that your vehicle looks and functions as if it came from Germany that way.

That is our guarantee.

How much time would you need the car?

If the receiver detects it is not in HDTV format, can it be seen in the old format also with that same receiver? Does the vinyl look as good as leather? I would tend to want to pay the extra to get leather just so I can remain consistent with factory but sometimes vinyl is so good that you just can't see or feel the difference.

We would need the vehicle for 2 days.

To be honest the only vinyl Ive seen for these Headrests was in a sample piece of material and in that sample piece versus the leather sample piece, the vinyl does look and feel as good as leather, you can only tell the difference by turning the piece over

LMAO...

Please step away from the crack pipe.

First before I correct your safety testing, I will state that it absolutely looks ghetto, it is an S-Class client you are marketing to, not a ghetto street thug wanting hater vision installed. Savv has the worse matching (if they want to call it that) material out of any of the all-in-one headrest manufacturers. The monitor in no way shape or form even looks like it belongs. and at that price?

then you have the safety... you stated somewhere that you actually crash tested a few S class vehicles with these monitors installed, and that it is safe because you say so? no? Your nuts, and knowing these Savv monitors from actually having hands on experience with them... they will become a missile hazard in an accident.

You should take great lengths to ensure the safety of your clientèle, is it a BS feature? Not my call, nor yours.

and please, don't even get me going, I never needed a play on 310 for a shop name

His phone number and address is posted along with his e-card. Why don't you post your name, number and address so we can call you about this in more detail???

Also, he never stated he crash tested cars to prove his point nor do they look ghetto. One more thing, everyone says they don't look as nice as the original factory ones. What original factory ones??? We don't get that here in the states so that statement does not apply.

Hey Jeff looks like someones following you..

Can you please post the exact dimensions of the headrest?
Also what HDTV source are you giving?
Do we need an Over the air antenna on the roof of our cars to pickup HDTV?

When I rest my head on my 600's headrest it is like a soft pillow. Will this headrest feel exactly like the factory?

Thanks

what do you want to call me about? I am not selling anything here. However I worked with just about everything out there so I can answer most of your questions. Also you can order an S class with a video system.

The S class can be ordered with factory rear screen video monitors with center console DVD player and full integration with comand unit. Not sure if it is available in the USA but it can be added afterwards.

Sigh... Can no one verify that an in the USA 221 can be fitted with a elegantly installed rear entertainment system integrated into the command system? ....because I sure can't find any information and neither does my dealer know a thing... (I should not be surprised there)

Frankly, that the rear entertainment system can be ordered in Europe for the 221 is irrelevant to us in the USA.. it is what those of us here can order that I want to know... so before saying one can order an S-Class with a properly integrated rear (NOT front) video system please substantiate where your information comes from... and provide references.. because I sure want one! (And am prepared to pay $$$)

(Jeez - can it really be this hard to get a proper approved DVD system for a $144K S-Class! ...it seems no problem for the 760 or LX460!)

Chris

I can arrange for installation of a factory system in your car with all factory components if you need. Send me an email and we can discuss it.

Are you saying that your replacement headrests will function just like the factory neck-pro headrests? That is to say they will also pop up and forward in a rear end collision.

The reason that i ask is that your headrests look to be all one piece whereas all neck-pro headrests have a moving section (which allows the pop up). When i had my S550 headrests installed i got the visualogic add-ons and they matched perfectly and i got to keep my existing factory headrests. I like the idea of having larger monitors but i have to agree with jbondox that they look rather off.

Yes, if the receiver detects it is not in HDTV format, It will be seen in the old format also with that same receiver.

And Yes they are as squishy as the factory headrests...thats my favorite part about MBZ

No these headrests do not pop out and up, as I had previously stated with these headrests we bypass the pre-safe feature in the headrests which does not affect anything else in the vehicle.

Just my two cents, I would have the monitors mounted in the seat backrest panel, in a similar form as in the Maybach. Keeps the headrests stock, and keeps the monitors a little more out of the way. Plus, you could form a new backrest panel of fiberglass and wrap it in leather to match the interior also.
