Front defroster flaky

Normally air comes out at maximum temp, but I've had a few occasions where it comes out very cold. When its occured I've verified that I can crank up the temp manually and get it out hot, so it seems to be come kind of an software or sensor issue. Given that I can't reproduce it, I don't want to go in for service yet.

I haven't tried mine yet. It doesn't get cold enough any more in my area to use defrosters. However, my air conditioning system seems to always come on full force and stays there until I finally make some kind of adjustment to it. It never seems to decrease blower speed even 15 minutes after starting up. I keep it on automatic but it won't stabilize to a normal blower speed over time.

On another note, and I know some of you will think I'm crazy, but I did stumble across a strange phenomenon while toying around with my rear window defroster. I turned it on, looked through the rearview mirror and instantly as the button is turned on, the image behind me blurs ever so slightly between the defrosting elements as seen through the rear view mirror. At first I thought I had a distorted rear window but instantly as I turned the switch off, the view immediately returns to normal. You probably won't notice it unless your parked or driving very slow because if your driving, bouncing around will impede the ability to see what I'm talking about. I did this while tinkering around with things I don't normally use and I was probably sitting in the mall parking lot, listening to the radio, got bored while waiting on the wife to finish shopping.
It looks like the window has distorted glass in it.Try it on a sunny warm day.
P.S. I know what you're thinking but no, I'm not on drugs. One day you'll see what I'm talking about and say, hey , now I see what that nut was talking about.
