Designo question
I'm on track to get a 2008 S550 sometime this summer. The question I've been chewing on is whether the designo packages are worth the extra cost. I've been leaning toward the Designo Espresso, though I could be persuaded toward a Designo Graphite. But now I'm starting to wonder if either package justifies the extra cost. I'd appreciate any thoughts or comments this board's vast and unpaid research group might have about the designo packages.

We have a designo mocha...which I think is similar to the expresso. Personally I think it is amazing, the brown leather stands out anywhere you go (though I don't think they have that any more) and the paint look gorgeous in the Texas sun! The headliner is also super luxurious.
Would you be in Dallas, may I ask (I see Tex in the display name)?

Would get a new, disctd S600 over any loaded/Designo S550....
600 has vastly more enjoyable tq and better brakes.....
And interior of 600 is prob most elegant/ergonomic interior of any car in world today, incl vs S65 (has the tacky quilted leather).....

That is exactly what I did for those same reasons. Funny thing is, when the W221 first came out, the V12s were all over the lots everywhere. Now it is harder to find them. I was so lucky to get the one I have. Haven't seen one on my dealers lot since.
