S65 front bumper on a S550 ?
I am getting my S550 with AMG sport PKG soon and thinking to replace the front bumper to a S63/65 front bumper ! So do I just order the S65 front bumper from a MB parts department and bring it to a bodyshop and they will know how to replace it ? Is there any addition parts I have to buy or it will just fit right on ? Any idea how much is the S65 front bumper ? Thanks !

I checked if it is possible to change the front bumper on my S550 with AMG Sport Package to the S63/S65 version of the front design. This is possible but it will take more than just the front bumper to be changed. The front reinforcement, bumper, fender, headlamp washer, fog lights, all moldings, and the price difference is much more between the two. Not an even swap.

i have to check.... i think it was in the neighborhood of $3500 painted and put on... i'll check lata
1x Front bumper (which i beleive came with the headlight washers or i used the ones off the regular 550 bumper)
2x Fog lights
1x tow hook cover
3X mesh grills
1X bumper foam support
1x under splash guard
and some brackets and hardwear
You do not need to change the fenders... for the 63/65 bumper....
search B Man on the site, i forgot the name of the place.. his C350 is there now...

$3500 seems reasonable. Not bad at all.

my 0.02c is to keep the 550 Sport bumper. Much better than stock and no way a guy in a W22165 can roll up and give you shiat about it

Thank you, the info really helps ! I am thinking to get the 21" Lorinser RS8, but not sure should I lower the car, I am afraid it will not look good without lowering ! Do I need to roll my fender ?

Are the Lorinser RS8 wheels on your s550 the same wheels as the stock wheels on the slr McLaren ? When I visit the MBZ website, the photos of the SLR look like Lorinser RS8.
