Is it possible to sit in a W221 with the doors locked and radio active? (For those times when someone wants to sit in the car and listen to music while someone pops into a store?

I can't lock the doors (from inside or outside) if the engine is off and the key is inside the car. Also the minute you open the door the radio is powered off?

Any suggestions?

Assuming your car behaves like mine, you have not tried really hard.

The only reason I would need to do this is to try it for you, which I did.

I went to the car, closed doors, put ignition to position 1, locked doors from the door button. Now I had doors closed and locked and the radio on.

Then I took the key out, the radio shuts off but you can turn it on again from the on-button. While the radio is on, I can lock and unlock the doors from the door button.
