Which company insurance do you have?
Like the title states, what kind of insurance do you guys/girls have and how do you like it? I currently have Geico and I would love to switch. Thanks!

Allstate for the last 12 yrs and I love them. My price keeps going lower every year. My agent is a great person to deal with and I never had a problem before. I believe my insurance cost is extremely low compared to everyone else. example: 2007 S600, $1200 a year, 100-300k coverage with $500 deductable. Another: 2003 SL55 same coverage $900 a year. Can't get any better then that. Also I'm 27.

I switched from Nationwide to Geico and have never been happier. I'd stay with Geico. Cheap rates and my wife had an accident and never had trouble with the claim.

I did have Allstate for many years but they kept going up, up , up and I never even had to make a claim. Why they went up on me is a mystery. So I left them 10 years ago.

Have never had an insurance claim, but I tend to value auto insurance based upon ins co. most reputed to provide strong liability protection and seamless svc....insurance is most useful to manage financial risk of likely post-collision litig targeting assets of any driver of a $150K+ commuter car, esp in litigious places like CA/NYC
If car is in any major collision, have lease-gap cvg limiting value-at-risk in total loss scenario; ins co. pays off crashed car's lease and one simply leases another new car...but want an ins co. that will seamlessly handle such events
Any car post-collision repair (less than total loss) is unsafe to ever drive anyway, so would immediately trade it in; incur deprec costs; and lease another new CL, as no ins will properly cover that sub-total loss scenario....so need to bridge that risk "gap" on own....

Currently have Travellers. Was recommended by a body shop that did work on my wife's car - mainly bec. they supposedly didn't force customers to go to their preferred (read: cheap skate) body shop. 8 months later my other car collided with a Deer and there was about $4000 worth of body damage incl. the driver's side door. Guess what - Travellers forced a "used" door on me
After endless arguing and standing my ground - they reluctantly agreed to allow the shop to use a new dr. Bottom line - I was claim/accident free until then and when I did have to use them it turned out to be a pretty bad experience.
I've also had Geico - found them to be pretty bad too

You really have a thing about safety, very interesting. Question, what do you think about Volvos in that regard?

Travelers here also. Have had them for many years. A local company is the rep for them and I have a good relationship with the local company and even have my home and umbrella policy with them.
My wife and I come to about $1400.00 per year (She drives an 08 Outback) with 500K coverage (needed for the umbrella policy). I had one moving violation (69 in a 60) in 2003 that is still affecting the overall cost slightly.

We need some SERIOUS reform in this country! The stranglehold that insurance co's (medical and others) have on consumers is beyond ridiculous.
