long term parking

I need some help from people travels for long term.

I will leave the my 08 S550 in my garage for about 6 month because I have a long business trip in Asia.

I don't like to give my key to my friends or someone, then there is chance that he will drive my car. Writing down the mileage and things like that didn't work with my last Lexus. So I rather just take the key with me. I live myself, and so I don't have family who can start the car.

From experience with Lexus, I did disconnet the battery in the hood, then when I came back, reconnect it then start the car. I remember that the car had rough engine noise for first few second then, it was fine.

For the Mercedes, I know there is command, and more electronic stuff, I am afraid that if I disconnect the battery, it will have alot of error message when I reconnect. Also I know that engine oils will be bad condition in about 6 month. I want to know if I have to change the oil before I leave.

I will replace the tires after I come back. It is almost there to replace.

Please give me some advise for long term no use parking.

Thanks.

Whatever there's gas in...
Sell it to a friend, then 6 months later, you can buy it back for $20k less than he paid YOU.

No, I'm sorry that was rude. I would just park it, garaged, car cover, battery connected and all.

No,,, actually it is good idea that selling my car to friend...hehe..

Anyway,,, is battery will last for 6 month?

Actually, for the lexus, it stated to beep the alarm because of low battery in my apartment garage until all battery drained. When I came back from trip, everybody who I know told me " Your car was crasy every night."
I don't want that happen again.....

hmm I've never heard of that...and I know for a fact that these cars have minds of their own and toss, turn, wiggle around and do funky fever dances even with the push of the unlock button!

Disconnect the thing.

First, the car has two batteries. The main one at the rear would go flat in 6 months. I would put a trickle charger (can connect it to a pin at the engine bay) or disconnect the main battery.

The car would start up with a flat rear battery (using the starter battery at the engine bay) but it is not good for the main battery if it remains flat for a long time.
