I would like to know if there are any significant difference between the 2009 s550 and the 2008 s550.

I'm trying to get the following, and not sure how much it's worth in California. Please help me negotiate:

- 18" 7 split-spoke wheel (23R) now standard on S550
- shift paddles instead of shift buttons
- new window switches (push/pull) to comply with new US regulations
- 1 touch closing with Pano Sunroof
- HOLD convenience braking function

Equally equipped, the 09 S is about $3k cheaper than the 08 S. And the 09 can be had at a pretty good discount. Know this when you compare to a depreciated 08.

what kind of discounts are being offered on the 09s? anything in comparison with the huge discounts on 08?

I hate to quote specific discounts because every dealer has its own pricing policies. And I'm not sure I believe all of the 08 discount claims to begin with. But running the numbers, the 09, with its smaller discount, was the better financial decision over the depreciated 08 model year with its bigger discount, but lower value. It would also depend on how long you plan to keep the car. I'm always 2, and out.

just came from the dealer offered me 15 off on a 08 w P3.
