I think I'm going for it

Ive been strongly considering getting a new S550, I have a 2007 S550 one of the very early models, yes the one with the two fins. Looking at AustinGuys 2008 with P3 really got me considering buying another and trading mine in. Now i'm trying to decide if I should go and work a deal on it, or look at a totally brand new one. They are really willing to work some incredible deals on brand new 2008's now. I have the Silver, however my next one will be black/savanna or white/cashmere I like them both. I will for sure get one with P3 this time.

Did my last PM to you make sense?

I guess, it really comes down to numbers:

The MSRP on my car back in April was $103,630. 4 months and 1300 miles later, you'd be getting that same car for around $81,000 (based on the price Ewing gave you). The question is - can you get a new 2008 Black/SavannaCashmere (with AMG sports pak/P3/iPod/Wood Steering) for slightly more?

Actually, a better way of looking at it is that you shouldn't pay more than $78,000 for my car. If you can get a new 2008 (same options) for around $84 or 85k I'd take the new 2008. If you can get a similar 2009 one for $88 - $90k, it now becomes a thorny situation: you're getting current yr. model but for $10-$12k more.........Do you want to put that 10-12k down on my car, or go with $0 down on the 2009?

I would have to say Austin has the latest thrown down on advice. He seems to know the deals since he just went in and out of some good deals.

Thanks for the compliment trumpet1 but I think there are a couple of posters (gellie is one I think) who claim/seem to know of better deals - more like $16-$19k off MSRP. If that's true, then it's incredible.

I took the deal on the new one with same options, it was around 85K, just like you said, actually the deal on the new one beat what they could do on your used one
