WSH's attitude? He is so stuck up and thinks so highly of himself and thinks so poorly of others who dont have AMG's and is constantly putting down others and others models as well. He is so annoying and I doubt Im the only who sees this as well.

Does anyone else agree?

I like WSH's posts! He has lots of slashes/comments/opinions/intellectual ideas from a Greenwich/N.Y./S.F./Bev.Hills point of view. He loves the S Class brand and happens to be a car snob imo. So, I'll look forward to hearing what he has to say.
As a fellow car snob, I don't look down on others. If someone drives a ****box, they could be a millionaire or philanthropist or a fantastic human being who is great to their family and others etc. I just look down on their cars since they are pieces of ****. Now for those who have mediocre cars, well, that's their choice or economic limitations, and I don't look down on them. You just have to rent a p.o.s. vehicle or get one as a courtesy car once in a while and then you can appreciatethe S Class and WSH's point of view!
I say, keep those posts/opinions/slashes coming WSH!

 

Look you can disagree all you like with someone, but you can also be more civil and constructive than calling someone "stuck up" or "annoying" in a new thread explicitly intended to denigrate that persons point of view... Some here it seems are just too sensitive or just don't get WSH's understated irony and obviously impish sense of humor... I am amazed some of you take WSH's comments so seriously/personally...

If the OP has personal objections he should take it up with WSH offline...

It is so obvious that a regular poster has come on here using a different username to start this thread. Very comical.

WSH....we love you man. In fact , I wish I could just have the opportunity to maybe buy one of your next "used" cars. This old man is just about out of gas as a dentist to keep up with you on the new cars every year. I can't do it anymore. If anything, I'm just envious of you.

I agree that this should have been taken up with him offline, and the OP could have left out the "stuck up" and "annoying" comments, but the statement itself was constructive since it ultimately expressed his disdain with the way WSH discounts other models.

I feel like I am in either a Literary Analysis or Communications class.

 

I must admit that his wry wit has passed over my head on an occassion or two. That said, he's a great contributor and is always articulate and professional, even when providing another report from a "key parking space" in Beverly Hills/SF/Greenwich. He communicates a sense of noblesse oblige that is charming in the 21st century. Leave the guy alone.

A Noble would not flaunt his rank or achievments, or belittle anyone else. These, among many others demonstrated an a daily basis, are those of the base nouveau riche (or those who wish to be).

Actually, I just browse the forum, which I have been doing for quite a long time. But I just couldn't stand reading his posts. So I joined up on here and posted how I felt about the matter.

P.S. when I said annoying, I meant it in more of a "he's annoying me" kind of way. I wasn't actually calling him annoying. Just saying he annoys me, if that makes sense.

 

i will agree with you on this one.
aside from content where he often puts other people down or stereotypes them for having less money or what they choose to do to their cars or which part of a city they live in, i can't stand the myriad abbreviations, forward slashes, and buzzwords. just do a search on ' risk/reward ' and his user name and you'll see what i mean...
otherwise more power to him, he apparently changes cars every two months, each one worth more than my house, so i suppose he can do what he likes, it's worked well enough for him so far...

Yes, WSH seems to be an interesting personality (even for the internet). I particular enjoy his views on the "3rd world" He also seems to be a big believer of Pre-safe, to him, any car without it is a death-mobile and any car with it can easily overcome the laws of physics.

Overall, he's a pretty nice guy, just a bit self-centered like many others out there...
