map and music quirk

You know when you go to navi, and roll from "destination" to the next square on the left, to -- "Position" -- then roll down from "save position" to "vehicle position and hit it, then you can roll through various map scales. Know what I mean?
here's the quirk: You go from CD to radio, or whatever, then you lose the ability to scroll various map scales. You have to redo the map thing again.
Does anyone ever notice this? Not a big deal, but it seems I'm always scrolling through the map to the "vehicle position" setting to be able to change scales.
\(I guess this should be our biggest problem with these cars...

I don't follow your case. If you have the map displayed in full screen, you can change the scale by scrolling with Comand controller. Is your problem that you don't revert to full screen mode when first leaving the navi display temporarily and then coming back?

In any case, once you start navigation, the map display would change immediately to full screen. I'm not sure if you go back and forth from the navi display to the radio and back to navi with the specific buttons if the map remains in full screen of if you have to select to full screen first. The point anyway is that navigation should be used in the full screen mode and then you can very conveniently scale the display (I never go the menu route you mention, if I got it right).

When the Map area is "highlighted" press down the command controller, your map will go into full screen. Then, you should be able to scale and scroll the map.
