I have to say that while it does look very good, its not a big improvement over the S65/S600 right now. I guess that bodes well for the people buying S65/S600s right now, like me , because the depreciation wont be as big when the facelift hits.

2010 CL65
Not a fan of the new mirrors

Like the unchanged 65 exhaust tips

Hope S65 lacks the absurd PanoRoof...silly to try to engineer maximal safety but compromise roof strength in any rollover/serious side impact

Perplexed by 65's archaic Parktronic bulletholes and lack of DistPlus...would think DistPlus is integral to much of the more advanced active safety tech that '10 S/CL allegedly have....

Looks like they're finally gone with LED lights in rear. The front LED fog lights look good too.

The S65 has been coming with distronicplus IF it is ordered with it. I've been seeing them on eBay with and without it ever since it's intro. I think the reason they don't come automatically on the S65s is because of the perception that you'll be driving much faster than the distronic cruise control is allowed to operate at. In the US, that is a non-factor. So, for US, they really should all be coming with Distronic like the S600s do (which are limited to 130mph).
Does your new CL65 not have distronic??

The panoroof actually was a lifesaver for me when I backed into my garage door (which only partially opened). Instead of having paint /body damage, it simply glided along the glass and didn't leave a scratch. Of course I had to have a new antenna but at least because of having a full roof of glass I was spared the agony of an extra $2K of paint/body damage. Kind of a weird reason to be happy though about a panoroof.

I have no doubts in that.. His posts are very informative and provide information that can only be obtained by owning one of these cars. I honestly have no interest in seeing photos of his car.

Anyone know what engine is going in the new S/CL ?

+1, I agree...The LED's look good.

I hope the front has daytime driving LED's like the new Audi's and the new Porsche 911's.

scared of being stalked
the launch of this body will just result in great bargain for those whom are hunting, as am i.

i will not be surprised to see an 08 s65 go for >100k when these are launched. and 07s around 75-85 d/ on mileage. maybe just a bad prediction

Will be interesting to see how long it takes for the 09's to have $10K-$12K or more in trunk money as the 08's currently do.

Possibly another reason...I have read that radar dectors don't work with the Distronic Plus because they operate on the same frequency. Maybe they figure that many/most S65 owners will need radar detectors because they will be going so f-ing fast

I like the way the facelift looks, great pics too that is like the motherload, I haven't seen this many facelift pics yet anywhere.

ditto. saw the pictures of the 2010 before I bought my 09. not enough of a difference/improvement to wait. I am interested in seeing what, if any, new standard features it is supposed to get.

A few of the new face lift features (note that this one mentions the split view Comand when the comment was posted already in July, www.jesmb.de):

Really? You guys wouldn't buy an S65 AMG for $20K below wholesale just because it doesn't have an extra window on the roof?

I just never got the craze about Pano, if I wanted all that sun I'd get a convertible.
