The Airmatic/ABC vehicle raising button is located in between the instrument cluster and the navigation screen.

Airmatic is standard in the US. ABC optional on S550 RWD, standard on S63, S600 and S65.

The snowflake button is user programable for several features including the rear sunshade.

Yep - I only ever use it for the rear sun-shade. Otherwise only the back seat passengers (the kids) could control it...

And of course the manual would tell which functions can be programmed for the button and how it is done from the Comand interface.

The simple answer!

It let's you control either the rear sunshade OR the navigation voice instruction "repeat" button. Those are your only two choices which are programmable through the Command system.

You mean settings that make sense? From the manual the full list of options should be:
- rear window sun shade
- Comand display on/off
- repeat navigation command

The Euro manual gives in addition:
- tow away protection
- interior motion sensor control
- both above
