W221 S-Class reliability -- better info
This is based on a small sample size, so the result is not precise. The reported repair frequency has been decreasing as we receive data on more cars.
We'll have further updated in August and November. With more participants, we could provide more precise results and cover more model years.

Variation over the last few quarters could easily be due to the sample size. Not enough owners signed up for other model years--though I'd love to cover them.

In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year ("low" is best):
2007 S-Class: 60, moderate, very small sample size
No stat for a model year? Then we very much need more participants for it. Same for those with small sample size notes. Next updates in August and November.

2007 S-Class: 36, low, very small sample size
This stat seems too good to be accurate, so it's likely an effect of the small sample size.

We mark a sample size small if under 25, and very small if between 10 and 15. I post nothing at all under ten. We can provide usefully precise stats with 25 responses, but only a broad indicator at best at the current levels. The key thing to realize is that we've put a process in place to yield better, more up-to-date information than anything else out there. If enough owners participate, as they do for many other models, we'll have the information.
