Considering most big cities and nice areas in the USA are not far from ghettos, the panic button may come in use

raunaq23,
Let me ask you , if all of these cars are not yours, except Passat, why not to disclose it in the first post?
Don't be affraid, stand straight and proud.
Bad thing (or not) you are not living close to (or inside) any MB dealership, than we would have many more pics...
But youth has its own privileges.
I envy you (in a way).

US has world's cheapest cars but even in NYC or LA not common to see new 600/65s in daily commute traffic
Ironically, suspect many of wealthiest people in US (esp in Manhattan) are driven around in scuffed-up, base, blk/blk S550s (usu w/o AMG-look packages); they aren't car guys and everyone who matters knows they can easily afford any car (or plane) on planet
Know many car nuts in NYC (and other unsavory parts of US) who keep more interesting cars at houses in CA where weather, topography and roads allow more enjoyment of such cars
My sense is many w/bucks from Mideast, Chindia, Russia, etc do same by keeping a house in Switzerland or such for easy strike range into Germany for driving on autobahns and in mtn twisties....most parts of world (incl London and NYC) make little sense for perf cars; that's why those w/bucks have weekend houses elsewhere; isn't globalization and arbitrage great?

sir if i had known that this would become such an issue then i would have definately talked more about this. All these cars belong to my immediate family and we havent really split up or named the cars to people. I use the cayenne and s class too. But in terms of max. usage i drive the ML and passat most of the time. Occasionally the 55. I have not bought any of these nor does any belong to me but all these belong to my family so i could call the passat or ml my daily drive even though i dont own them.
That's a different story
Then, enjoy all of them, get good grades at school and try to stay closer to 55 (so your parents don't mind)
Red 55 = chick magnet

Where in India are you? I've only spent time in Mumbai and Delhi and the roads are so bad, it should be a crime driving such nice cars on such horrible roads.
The SL55 is for around 300+ grand USD
The S320 is for around 170 grand USD
That person is the chaffeur.
Thanks.
Well The S320 is a great car and nothing comes close to the ride comfort and backseat luxury of the S class. Audi and BMW are more driver centered. So instead of going for a S and a 7 or A8 we chose two S classes.

Very nice collection of cars Raunaq. I haven't travelled to India yet but I can certainly understand the price increase since its about the same in Pakistan. Lately though for some reason people have been buying alotta S320s in India & Pakistan and your family seems to be one of the privileged few that can afford them.
Now get out there with your SL55 and Holla at Katrina Kaif for me! lol
For those of you that don't know who Katrina Kaif is:

I have seen couple of S65 even in Bangalore. Sure, you can see many of them in other cities of this wonderful country. BTW Indian TATA bought Jaguar, so MB can be next target.
Interesting that I didn't notice many S in Switzerland.

I don't have the panic button on any of my keys. My ML is the old black one, and my S and SL are the blingy chrome ones. I'm thinking the panic button is only available in the US? I would've liked to have it on mine!

Cars in India are about 3x the price in the United States. So an Indian S320 Diesel could probably cost even more than a Bentley Flying Spur in the States.
This is assuming that you are paying the full price of the car, full taxes (which you cannot avoid legally), etc.
Additionally, most people (or a large percentage) with S-Class cars in the US probably lease them; leasing is very uncommon in India. Therefore, it's very safe to say that the people who buy S-Class cars in India (or any place outside of the US, since cars are much cheaper in the US than anywhere else) are very very different than the people who buy S-Class cars in the US.
I've been driven in the S320 CDI when I was at the Lufthansa First Class terminal in Frankfurt airport. Very good car, and perfectly appropriate for driving anywhere in the world; including the United States. Fuel is relatively less expensive in the United States, and because of this and to maintain a luxury image, Mercedes only imports its larger engined cars to the US. The S320 CDI I was driven in at the airport had more factory back-seat goodies (Television, massaging seats, refrigerator, power rear seats, and more) than the US-spec S600 has.

That raunaq23 guy sounds like a punk with attitude.
He is probably the car washer for those cars.
raunaq23,
Let me ask you , if all of these cars are not yours, except Passat, why not to disclose it in the first post?
Don't be affraid, stand straight and proud.

who cares about 320s, cayenne and a volkswagen to be honest?
some of these cars are quite redundant... these cars look like they belong to a very big family with a lot of people but they can only afford 320s... or they belong to a few families who are sharing the same parking lot...
but anyway no matter what... this collection of cars is very common.. nothing spectacular...

I was just sharing a few pictures of our cars.
But i can see very few people here are actually interested in automobiles.
Most of the guys like you just want to talk about my age, my background, no. of family members, earnings and whether they can afford to buy a S320.
You guys seem really frustrated. And posting useless comments on this thread somehow makes you guys feel better. Well whatever it takes for you to feel better.
Dissapointed at the kind of people posting in the W221 section.
Though there are a few mature, reasonable guys here like Quadbenz, patakka, mymercedes012, austinguy, bigben320e, merc skycap, dema etc.. who actually add value to the thread and are not just wasting everyones time.

Uhh, are you aware of how much they cost compared to US or even UK MB?
