22" or 20 inch wheels?
Hi,
Thanks in advance for any help. I purchased a 2007 S550 and was wondering if the ride is to harsh with 22 inch wheels on the S550. I Would like to keep some of the comfort in my cars ride. I could always go with 20s to keep some of the rubber.

Personally I think it's just a matter of choice, I had 22s on my 750Li w/Sports Package and I have 22s on my S550V and the ride on both were very comfortable. I think the 20s look just as big as the 22s unless you are truly trying to analyze the size, but I think the biggest factor will be where you live and what condition are the roads in.

Tried both 22s and 20s. Kept the 20s. Wanted to keep the S-class' ride comfort, and w/o having to swerve to avoid potholes.
If one must have something bigger than 20", I think 21" would be the best compromise.

The 21's on my S550 were nice, but it was a pain in the butt getting new tires all the time. Ride comfort was still fine however.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm in the process of trying to purchase a set of Vossen wheels. Not sure about availability of sizes and fitment but working on it. Any more info on size and ride would help.
