jerky shifts

Only in the comfort (C) mode does my S 600 jerk from 2nd to 3rd. After a stop or the car has been off, there is this chirp to go with this jerking motion.
Wierd! Someone suggested going from a stop on an on ramp to a high speed to "clear" the tranny, but that didn't work. Ever heard of this??

07 S550
Had this happen on my '07 S550, however it was 1st gear to 2nd gear in sport mode. The dealership (after 3 weeks of troubleshooting) said they had to update the software.

Its ironic actually...the ORIGINAL problem that I took the car in for was it getting stuck in the higher gears (comfort or sport didn't matter). The car would leave itself in 6th or 7th gear after some highway speed driving. I would pull of an exit ramp and have to shut the car down completely to get it back to 1st gear.

Got the car back from the shop on that issue which then lead to the rough shifting...and another week at the dealership.

All that being said, it seems to be running well now.
