I have tried Dunlop, Pirelli and Bridgestone snows. The Bridgestone is the highest performing in the white stuff.
With that said... Its a 4-matic. You could roll on race tires and do well in that thing.

I've run on Bridgetsones on my 4-matic and they have been great. Only complaint is that they wear out pretty quickly (mine have about 15K miles on them and this coming season will be their last).

I've used Pirelli soto zero's here in Toronto for several years, and we get our fair share of snow. Also when the temperature is 45 degrees or less and the road is dry, the winter tires have that soft rubber in the cold which gives you great traction, braking and quietness. 18" are fine and would look better than 17's and 19's would work well but perhaps not as effectively as 18's in the snow. Rgardless make sure you get 4 and not 2!

mounted 19" Blizzacks on the original AMG wheeels.Still keeps the good looks in the winter.Dont really know how they wear, only use them from Nov-March.The rest of the year its 20" Avarus wheels and Pirelli summer tires.

What do you think about Continental ContiWinterContact TS810S ? Anyone have them? They are on my stock 18" which I will be putting on next week. Maybe the tread is a little lower than I would like so I may replace them with new tires.
Let me know if you can compare.
