I can offer up some expertise.

I tried Yokohama Sport tires and luved them. Great summer tire. Then I tried Yokohama S4 all seasons. Not as impressed. I just mounted a set of Bridgestone 960's several weeks ago. Very nice year round tire but the Yoko Sport is still tops out of those three.

I just replaced Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 (summer) with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. I was disappointed with treadwear on the Goodyears, and so far I am very pleased with the Michelins. I'll put on my winter tires in Decmeber, so I can't speak to snow traction, but in the wet weather both have been great.

The best or nothing
I have Dunlop SP Sport MAXX (they came stock) on 19" and they are good, I like them. What's interesting they offer much less road noise then Michelin Primacy that Mercedes puts stock on 17". As for traction / performance I cannot say as I cannot compare to driving on different tires on the limit.
