Where is the cabin filter??

Anyone know where the cabin folter is on 2008 s550 4 matic? And how do you replace it??

It is behind the glove box.

There are two square tabs that move sideways to release the door for the filter.

So I assume you access it through the engine compartment?

That would be equally difficult as accessing the glove box from the engine compartment, there is the firewall in-between.

Just remove the cover below the glove box and the filter can be reached.

It should be behind the glovebox in the dash.. Not too complicated, just take out the glove box. It has to be pushed in on both sides, then unlatched at the bottom. Look for the filter somewhere up in there.

Of course the glove box can be removed, just like the engine. But it would be sufficient to remove the cover below the glove box.
