2010 S63 rear seat has massage option?
Did anyone catch the Top Gear season premier where they raced the new BMW 760Li vs the 2010 S63? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeZOed31owc At around time index 5:40 Captain Slow states that This particular S63 had front and Rear Massage seats, but yet no 4 way climate control or rear seat entertainment. Is this (massage )a silent option that was added to the S63 or was the rear massage feature available before in the S63.

Hi, I don't understand why they didn't put S65 against it as it would surely crush the bimmer.
Also, I think he made a mistake and wanted to say 4 way climate control both cars and rear seat massage bimmer only.

in terms of HP the S63/760Li is 518/540 and a closer match than the S65/S600. In the in car S63 footage james may is seen supposedly choosing the "hard" massage option while sitting in the back seat.

I don't think it's a fair comparison.
They should compare S600 to the 760Li.
V12 to V12 and more or less in the same price range.
But then we know what the outcome would be...
S65 quite frankly is out of reach in any respect for 760Li as BMW could kiss MB 600/65 tail pipe

Any frequent reader of mags such as car&driver knows that anytime a comparison/shootout involving any random make vs. any bmw results in the ultimate driving machine coming out on top....even if they really went S65/600 vs. 760 they would still have the 760 on top due to "superb engineering, excellent suspension/handling, extremely light on its feet for a 5000+ lb car, vastly improved interior, etc, etc, etc," while the MB would get the usual "numb steering feel, outdated styling, etc..." and also the ONE criteria that ALWAYS puts bmw on top "fun to drive factor"......this is where hp/torque/performance doesnt mean squat because so what if the S65 can blow the 760 away? The MB doesnt have the "fun to drive factor" so just take their words for it-its BMW's world and for all those that need a writer/reporter to make their purchase decision then everyone would be driving a BMW.

True be told, I believe the S63 ($135K with 518Hp) or S600 ($149K with 510Hp) are comparable with the 760Li ($136K with 535Hp). The Aplina ($200K with 507Hp) would be more of a comparison to the S65 ($210K with 604Hp), but that's a difference of almost 100Hp. I believe the S65 has it with anything BMW has right now.
Now a comparison of the lower end S550 vs 750Li, don't get me wrong I love my S550, but my 750Li would out run it. I guess the beauty of being station in Germany and truly seeing how well the Germans make their vehicles and getting to drive them the way they were meant to be driven is a plus.
