Seat Clicking?

On the drivers seat, the left bolster on the seat cushion makes a clicking noise when I move from side to side. Any idea what could be causing this?

I actually just had my 550 in for this on warranty (passenger seat while occupied). The service adviser called to tell me: "We sat in a 2009 on the showroom floor and it makes the same sound" - so I had him instruct the tech to remove the seat & lube all contact points. No difference though...

Yup. Had this issue. Thanks to my incompetent dealer, I had to fix the issue myself. And to rajwany, you can't just stop moving side to side. It is an issue when turning as well as you naturally move side to side. to fix it, I extended the seat cushion, moved the seat all the way forward, reclined the seat back as far as it would go and I put some foam inserts in between where the plastic pieces meet and touch each other. that's where the issue lies. Hopefully what Ive described makes some sense.

Please don't think I was trying to be mean or rude or anything to you. I was just trying to show that unfortunately the solution isn't that easy to get rid of the seat clicks.

I'll give this a try to see if it helps. I couldn't tell precisely where the sound was coming from, so thanks for the advice.

What kind of foam inserts did you put in there?

I have this dark gray type of foam that matches the color of the plastic (in my car at least) quite well. Once I had to get my iPhone replaced and the box they sent me that had my phone in it was wrapped in foam so I just used that for this.

Just fixed mine (under wty of course). Driver's seat creaked with every turn.
The simply tightened the bolts etc. No excuses for a creaky seat.
