A few of us have seen this. Here was a thread about it at one time:

https://mbworld.org/forums/new-s-cla...ueling-up.html

I had mine repaired with details/help from the original poster of that thread.

It ended up being the charcoal canister valve on both of our cars. Now both are 100%.

i have no idea with this problem ,one of mine friend working in the Benz dealer as a technician ,he told me that could be somewhere jam from fuel tank neck to fuel tank ,is that possible ?

thanks for attention ,

The fuel neck is absolutely tiny for our tanks. I had an S-Class tank out of the chassis and a group of us marveled over the lack of overall diameter of the fill tube. If it was crushed even a little bit it would cause quite the flow problem. However the neck is pretty well guarded by the wheel well liner etc.

Try another gas station fill rate and see if that makes a difference.

Have seen this a few times...the whole fuel tank replacement cured it. The neck is part of the tank on a 221.
