my car didn't come with the electronic trunk closing option. and I really want and NEED it!!! is it THAT impossible to have that done??? they allready have pneumatics installed in the trunk (you can hear it when you pull it down to close it) and it has the vacuum closing too. Where can I have that done? How??? Please give me some smart advices.

Which S-class are you talking about? The trunk closer would not be vacuum operated on either the 221 or the 220 and the doors are not vacuum operated on cars of this sub-forum.

I know they are not vacuum operated! That's how they cal it. "vacuum doors" because it gives you the feeling that they are "sucked" in by the vacuum inside the car. I changed by myself the pneumatic pump on a w220, and all doors hVe a piston which is pneumatic activated and pulls the door. On the 221 i think it's electronic. Not sure. And I was talking aboutr the new W221

I received a quote from Steve at MBenzNL of 1000 euros for the parts needed for a DIY install. Needless to say, I did not do it. I do miss it from my W220 though.

My trunk is vacuum operated but it's not electronic closing.....the dealer told me the option is not available on the S350. But it is standard on the S500.
