Fluid sizzling under car

When I turn off my s550 there is a sizzling water sound from, what I'm guessing is, the discharge of condensation from the AC system hitting something very hot. Is this normal or is the discarge not going where it should?

I have the same thing. I can hear it when sitting in drive-thru's as well. You are correct that it is the condensation from the A/C system dripping on something; the exhaust system I am guessing. I've mntioned it before to my SA and it comes back as being normal. I guess it is a price to pay for being in a humid location, although cheap sounding and annoying.

the dealers have gone through extensive training on one thing only. that is how to say IT IS NORMAL with a straight face every single time. LOL
