Two incidents with my car in one week
And yet again, my wife brought home interesting news. Earlier this week she messed up the front bumper due to a parking block and today she messes up the rear bumper.
She was about to back out from a store parking lot and just as she started a woman in a Kia smacked right into her. My son was there and can attest that it was not my wife's fault this time (she got lucky
).
Apparently the woman tried driving off but my son ran after her and got her to stop. She pretended like she didn't even feel it, which is very hard to believe.
Anyways, I'm very impressed with how the S took the hit. The bumper isn't deformed in any way.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

My bumper has a few scuffs and scratches, but luckily they're dark in color and not too noticeable. Sigh.

Our S550 is actually our 2nd oldest car. The ML and SL are newer than the S. In the 3 years we've had the car, these past 2 incidents were the first things to ever happen to car. Its ironic that its all happening now since the lease is up very soon and we decided to not buy it from MB as we want to go a different route.

Strange. How come the Kia is smacked in the rear bumper as well? Are you sure your wife didn't back out INTO the Kia as that person was driving off?
Hmmmm....anyway, my wife never touches my car.

Be happy that's all it was. And be even more grateful that you have your family protected in the best possible vehicle, since if a really bad accident were to happen, then it's likely they could walk out of the car unhurt.
That's what the S class is all about. It's just a car and ya, a few little scratches are enough to **** you off, but look at the big picture.
