Yes it can be added, (just but not by the Dealer). Check out MBenzNL http://www.mbenznl.nl/index.php?opti...mid=28&catid=7 . You have the option to install either Distronic and Distronic Plus (which uses more sensors and hence more $) .

Going back to Tele Aid- Mbrace is problematic
I tried mbrace for the last two weeks and had nothing but problems. I used Tele Aid for directions and Tele aid always came through. They have a live satellite system which knows exactly where your car is. In addition, Tele Aid saved my friend's life. I have no confidence with MBrace- they don't have the same real time satellite tracking system and therefore can't give step by step directions. You have to wait until the rep reads from a map. Good luck with that system on highways!

Distronic can definitely be added, and as mentioned above, Steve@MBenzNL is the best man for the job. I would honestly not trust the dealer with something like this.

2014 CLS 550 distronic addition
I just purchased a 2014 CLS 550 after owning a 2010 E550 that had all factory options including diatonic plus. The CLS 550 has all options....parktronic, blind spot assist etc. but does not have diatonic plus. I did not think I would miss that option, but I found out that I really do. Is there a reliable and clean way to add the option now? I have only 600 miles on the car and don't really want to trade it in for a new car with distronic plus.
