Got my new S550 with Splitview. Should it come with headphones?
Hello,
Does anyone know if the S550 with $700 Splitview option should come with a remote and headphones, or are they extra cost options?
Mine does not seem to have them.
Thanks.

At least for us Splitview comes with option code P45 and this one includes headphones (I'm not sure if it is only one set) and a remote control device. HK Logic7 is part of this packet too.

Perhaps this is why so many of these remote control units are available from eBay now. I was looking at one because Rob once informed they would have a CAN bus unit enabling the remote on a pre-facelift W221. Would you sell one of the three?

Love the splitview. It's not something that I use often (probably wouldn't have bothered ordering it on a custom order car) but it does impress passengers, and it definitely works very well.
Probably the best use for it is to allow the passenger to control the music and to let me, the driver, see the nav screen.

Looking a 2010 S550 with this option. Does the S550 come with 3 remotes and 2 headsets?? I can't find any when I looked. There is no rear seat package on this one.

Without rear entertainment - one wireless remote, one wireless headphones for front passenger.

Thank you! I've been looking at used s550's and some have this option and some don't. I've never seen it in person, but those of you that have it, would you want it again?

so, i just got my 2011 s550, and it has the split view on the options list, but i can't access it via the menu. i'm having the dealer send me the remote and headphones. do i need to have the remote and headphones in car to activate the splitview on my command?

I have it and it's awesome. There is actually a spot in the glovebox where there remote slides into, a remote holder. If you go into the options in command, you will see "splitview" at the bottom. I'll have to look again to remember.

tried going into the vehicle settings in COMMAND, but from what i've seen on youtube, i'm missing the splitview option. thats why i ask if i need to have the remote programmed in order to use.

No, the remote is not needed, that option should be there, UNLESS it was disabled and the car is from a state where it's not allowed. If it's not there, you can't turn on on unless you have the star tool and an access code.
Mine came from NY and here in PA they don't allow it. They were going to remove it, and then I said I wasn't taking the car without splitview. They left it on

Ok, this might be a little tricky. Supposedly a dealer has to contact support, and they provide a code, at least that's what I was told. Please report back and let us know what happens. And congrats on the car!
