Electronic trunk closer kit
Thanks to Steve (MBenzNL) for the fast service. He even hooked up most of the wiring so the install should be pretty straight forward...
Here's what I got:

I hope the install is less nightmarish than my 2010 lights....

For some odd reason I thought the 221 trunk closer was electronic (without the hydraulic parts), I guess it was this way on the 212. Haven't seen any oil change service interval specified for this part.
I remember there was a bulletin about one or the other end attachment for the hydraulic cylinder being a bit weak and prone to fail (or become loose). Does the car have all the attachment parts readily installed? Perhaps you should look at the reinforcement unless your car already has the improved parts.
Edited: this only applies to older cars, built before 07/2008.

Most often it is a lot cheaper to buy an option from the factory. We have higher than average car tax (I assume) but I paid 900 Euros for this option (no delivery cost, no installation cost). But retrofitting can be less expensive (relatively) at high car tax countries.

A basic C200K here is about $70k here in Indonesia. Ouch. We have progressive tax system. The bigger the engine, the higher the tax. Anything above 3.0L immediately gets slapped with a 75% car tax. That's why tiny cars are huge here in Asia. A Honda Fit costs nearly the same as in the US because of it's 1.5L engine. It's about $20k here.
