update
I like to know how hard is it to update the NAV. in my 2007 S550?

Without STAR and the updated file, really hard. In the hands of a quality MB tech, easy.

Do you actually mean the telematics update or are you just after updating the maps? The latter is easy with an update DVD, the first one needs Star as mentioned above.
