How to use mechanical key to unlock door in w221 with a dead battery
Hi,
I left my lights on overnight and my battery is dead. I tried to use the mechanical key to open the driver's side door, but it won't unlock. The key goes into the lock and turns counterclockwise, but nothing happens. I read the owner's manual, which says to pull the handle after turning the key and the lock should unlock, but this isn't the case for me. I need to get into the cabin in order to pop the hood so I can jump my car. Does anybody have any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
