Is that a 2010 AMG kit? Love the exhaust. What was the price for that rear setup?

Looks great so far.

thanks, the front bumper and skirts are 07 I guess but the rear is a 2010. I don't have the receipts on hand. The kit was ordered right from mercedes and as I recall its but over 5k.

Sure you do. Except the driver can barely see in the rain and under bright lights, and other drivers don't like seeing it at all.

I don't know what you are talking bout, but I can see perfectly fine in any weather condition. Maybe your thinking of a dark blue lumens output like 12k+ but 8k gives out excellent light. Its sky blue look but on the road its all white, I have had it on many cars now and have never had a situation were I am not able to see because of them being 8k. If I was driving all the time in woods maybe I would go with 6k, but I have driven in pitch black areas and 8k was very bright and close to the stock bulbs lighting.

Everyone has there own opinion, I have a lot of experience with different colors of hids and I chose what I have for many reasons.

I'm sure you're also able to leap tall building in a single blow and otherwise defy the basic laws of physics, but by going from the stock 4.3K bulb to 8K you just reduced the effective light output (measured in lumens) by about 30%. In rain, the majority of the blue light is either absorbed by the wet road (so you can't see much) or reflected into the eyes of other drivers (causing them discomfort).

I rarely care about how people "trick out" their cars (after all, everybody has the right to be "special" in their own little way), but messing with the headlights is a safety issue that affects not only the "tuners" (who I don't give a crap about) but also other drivers and pedestrians, including me and those close to me. Trading safety for "kewlness" is a pretty bad deal.

Ok, thank you for your opinion, not disagreement there.

99% of people have no idea what model it is, let alone the year. Those in the know would spot the year by the front end right away.

Poorly directed light will cause discomfort to other drivers, not a higher lumens output. Even though light output may be reduced 30%, the output of an 8K bulb is still adequate as the OP has stated from his own experience and in my own experience as well.

The 2010 taillights don't have a line across the tail matching the color of the car which my friend and I like better then the newer once. So staying with the once that are on.

Agree, most people don't know.

Well put. I like the 8k out of all kelvins so that is what I go with.

I did these to my lights. I liked how it came out but it gives it the appearance you tinted the light in the outside as how some others do when in reality we did the inside. I wish I would have left some chrome and not all of it. I'm dying to do the 2010 rear tail lights

The tails are painted from the outside... The headlights are painted from the inside.

2010 Tails, I do not really like.

As I recall looking it up it's a direct replacement but would double check with a person that has done the swap first.

Looks pretty good IMO, but personally, I would have left the headlights a little lighter.

But the AMG logo on the trunk does not belong on the vehicle, nor does it look properly aligned.

Thanks, the headlights are not tinted... They are painted from the inside!

I agree with the logo, it's not aligned correctly and when I have a chance I am going to get around to it just need to park up next to another AMG.
