s550 to a s65
New to the forum and i love it so far. I had an 2004 Audi S4 and just bought this 2007 s550 and its like day and night. But i had a quick question, and dont know if anyones tried it but has anyone converted their 550 to a 65 exerior? I know i can get the badges but has anyone done the exaust? if u have where can i purchase the bumper and exaust @ a great price? and what else does the s65 have that our beautiful 550's dont (other than the v12 and exaust lol). thanks for your time.

parts.com has best prices. what you need will depend on whether your 550 has the amg sportsline package. If it has the package, in addition to the exhaust, you will need to replace the two part lower bumper valence in order to fit the s65 quad quad exhaust tips and will have to buy an s65 front bumper with all the components. If you don't have the amg sports package you will also have to purchase the amg rear bumper, amg rocker panels and amg wheels.

The funny thing is, a majority of the people that see the S-Class can't tell one from the other unless they're familiar with the different versions. As you can see, you can expect to get a lot of opinions from people who maybe parasitically of totally against mods so be prepared for negative responses. It's your ride and you don't need anyone's approval for the changes you may want to make to your vehicle. Trading in your ride for a S63 or S65 would be idea, but I see you just purchased your so that's out of the question!
Now if you plan on going forward, there are a few way to go in getting the parts needed. You can either go through the MB dealership (you would need a S63 or S65 VIN to place an order for the place) or an aftermarket distributor. Master Tuning is a good source, but there are a few others out there. Regardless of the direction you chose, ensure you do your research and get it done professionally by an experienced shop. Thanks 4 the helpful responces guys. Im new to the MB community & dont mean 2 disrespect the car. I did buy this 550 for 30k so i really got a great deal. Im also using it to chauffer. So its a work car, i wanted to kit it up 2 look like a 65 because the company pays more $$ for it also. But i will look into the links 2 start this up thanks again all.
